just don't work for everybody.
Even though the health experts recommend certain things, everyone is different in their body's tolerance.
I have some quality vitamin C.
I found what works best for me.
Someone else may take more of it or take it more often than I do.
I tried taking more of it and it worked against me.   
What works for one person may not work for another.
There are many other times that the instructions do work out.

I know just how much vitamin c works for me also.  There are so many meds and vitamins out there you just have to pray you don't need some of them because of the  side effects. One time right after I had my gall bladder taken out I could not sleep. so the doctor prescribed sleeping pills for me. I took one and I was awake all night long and as jittery as a person could be. So never again would I even try them.

I have been taking this tasty wafer called Fiber-biotics.Purity Products an A plus health food Co in business over 20 yrs makes them.They are in Long Island,NY and have a web-site.Fiber-biotics is a pro-biotic and it puts good bacteria in your gut that helps the immune system.I have seen and felt the difference with me.

Plus they taste good.No pill swallowing.Highly recommended by me!!Instead of always taking anti-biotics to ward off illness let the body defend itself.We were made by God to live forever.

      I agree: "Do not overdose on vitamins because it can be very dangerous".
