Working with the hostility is making me sick to my stomach! 20 years of loyalty and dedication tarnished due to some malicious person! I have less than 6 months and need to find a job for me and my husband. Oh well, it's for the best.

Technical jobs are always on the demand, and it is increasing every year (considering how fast technology is growing). Not sure if you can everything you need to learn in under 6 months, but learning it in your free time could benefit u later on

Graphic designer or UX designer seems like a interesting career. I know that bloggers learn this stuff to make their website crisp and clean. Also a little coding in HTML and CSS.

If not. Maybe go into Finance? Financial adivisor or a stoke broker seems interesting

Try hospitality!  It is a great field, and I highly recommend it.  You get a lot of "down time" usually which is a lot of time to play on the computer and make some extra money!  It is like having two jobs.

  If you can get into anything in the medical field, it is growing like crazy with all the babyboomers.  If you can learn codeing,that is going crazy in the technology field.  Let everyone you know you are on the lookout,and what you want.  It's a tough time to be looking for a job.  I guess any time is a tough time to be looking.  Some of the best places for benefits, etc are Costco and Starbucks.

I think that the numbers game works really well.  Send out a hundred resumes, Ten employers should call you back, three to four should invite you to an interview and two should give you a job offer.  That or look to a temporary agency which is what I am thinking about doing whenever my day time job fizzles. I say that because rare is it, in today's society, that there is any corporate loyalty. Five years seems to be the extent to which companies care to keep people around. My wife has been with the same company for about thirty seven years. That is extremely rare. I play a different kind of numbers game. I work much longer than my employers expect me to and produce much more quantity and quality as a result. As my employers move off to other jobs they generally ask me to join because of my work ethic.

Kimber can you apply in a hospital?  I know they are always looking for help (non medical).  I have a few friends who work in hospitals in offices, on the floors as clerks, etc.  good luck, no one should have to put up with crap at their job.

I had a job for years that filled me with dread every night and every morning. I loathed having to go. I got a new job around Christmas and I am so much happier. Be looking. It's not worth it to stay if you are unhappy.

This is why you don't tell on people and get them fired or in serious trouble.  I had a neighbor a few years ago that worked really hard at getting a guy fired.  In the end SHE got fired and eventually so did her husband.  If she had minded her own and took care of herself instead of constantly telling on someone else then she wouldn't have lost her job and eventually everything else she had.

I see things all the time where I work that my co-workers do that are breaking the rules.  It is nothing to me.  I take care of me and what I do.   Yeah, it ticks me off to see them do stuff wrong and get away with it but it is not my place to run turn them in.

All actions have consequences.
