I don't think so... Most stores that I've been to have "We are not responsible for lost/stolen items or any damage property.. My brother recently got a new Volkswagen Tiguan and he parked in a supermarket lot. Next thing he got a long streak on a side of his car and have to pay for it. We ask the store manager if they at least have any camera footage around their store to spot the offender, but they firmly told us that they don't

Not sure if you paid for the parking lot.. But I guess that is depends if the court considers it a bailment or a lease.

Lease: By keeping the keys, you did not relinquish possession of your property. Therefore, stores are not liable for theft or damages.. Instead, they just give you permission to use one of their spaces on your own and you remain responsible for the property you left there. Same as if you parked it on a public street, you don't hold the house you parked next to accountable for damages.

Bailment: is something like you transfer of possession not ownership of the car. So things like car mechanic, valets, etc are responsible for your car

If court viewed it as a lease you might not be able to hold the store responsible for car damages. Bailment might
