What do you prefer to live in?

I would love to eventually live in a house. I know it'd be a lot of work and money, but knowing I'd be able to call it my own would be worth it, imo.

A house, preferably detached is what I have and is open for in the future if I ever upgrade or downgrade. I rented once in my life, but would never consider a condo - especially if there is a large HOA.  They're a bit hard to sell sometimes too (of course far better than a timeshare). A mansion would be too much of a hassle to clean and I cannot afford hired help.

I am currently happy living in my little log home up a Kentucky hollow.  One day, though, I want to move to Hilo, Hawaii.  I fell in love with that town on my trip to the Big Island.

Once again a QUESTION is not a SUBJECT and people will live where they can afford it not necessarily where they want to.  What do you think people would choose anyway  if they could afford any place so once again the question is senseless and obvious duh!

I like a home that's slightly large, enough for entertaining and company, but not too big to upkeep.

Well a mansion is out of the question. Even if I were rich, I cannot live in that many rooms. I like a small modest house, a condo. If it is an apartment, it has to be a good size like a co-op type apartment. Modern also.
