Begging for Money

Do you think they would really get hired?  I only give to legit organizations, not to some stranger and don't give to charities online.

If they tried to get a job yes they could get hired as easily as anyone else.

I have encountered people begging for money. but you can tell the true homeless and hungry person. Anyone following me to my car is a bad sign. I have no idea what they will do.

That's the thing...there have been cases where a man does that and he car jacks a woman and rapes and kills her.  They also prey on women because they are usually more likely to feel sorry for someone.

I'm hesitant to give people money when they come to me or beg because I really do not know how they will use the money. I especially get uncomfortable too if cornered as I feel I have no way out of it. I would like to say they should get a job too, but I also believe there are some people who are mentally ill and are not able to. The ones with families, well...  I do wonder why they cannot get job sometimes too.

There is a difference in someone who really has mental problems ie mentally retarded and people who just play the game.  Most of the people who are drawing a check these days are NOT disabled.  It is unreal at the number of people drawing a crazy check.  They get "sad" so they can't work.  Well suck it up!  The guy I am talking about, which started this thread and discussion is NOT disabled.  He is lazy.  There are at least 7 places with in eye sight of where we were that are hiring.  If he was really hungry, and he had clearly not missed any meals, he would get a job.  But like I said, people don't want to work for min wage.  That is another part of the problem with this country.  People THINK they are worth more than they are.  What do you expect when you have no education and no job skills?  You are not going to be paid close to $20 an hour to say "ya want fries with that".    I know all about hard times.  And I know how hard it is to find a job.  That is another thing that amazes me.  People who have a job and they get mad and just walk off.  Or just don't show up or call in all the time.  PEOPLE ARE LAZY!  People don't want to work.  They just want a check or want somebody to give it to them.  Way too many people think the world owes them something.
