I just got back from visiting Manhattan Island!!! NY is AWESOME!!!

I haven't been to New York for a while, but I had a great time there.  I'd like to go again sometime.

I went to NYC when I was 6 years old, I remember a few things.

well,,,,,,,,  I have lived in Ohio(now),,  Tennessee,,,  and Virginia Beach.    Vacations in,,, Myrtle Beach,,,  Miami FL.,, Tampa Fl.,,,, Sarosata Fl.,,,    Went to San Antonio, Texas to Dance ( dance masters of America) and also Washington DC for Dance Masters  also...  Toke a girls weekend and went to New York City last year.  Shopping for 2 days ( me less shopping and more people watching and eating and drinking at nice places )   Been to Canada once with I was about 12,,,,  Went to Kentucky for a truck show,,, very interesting    Went to Indiana for a car race,,,,  ( not nascar),,,  drove through west Virginia,,  Georgia,,, arkensas, Alabama, louisana, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania,, new jersery,north Carolina,,

really need to go more west,,,,    but I love the ocean so we always go east because its closer lol

I've been a lot of places.  I grew up in Western NY and visited Canada, Maryland and Michigan.  I've lived in Utah, California and Vegas.  Now I live in NM.  I've visited Hawaii and been on a cross-country road/camping trip.  I visited NYC while on that end of the country and went to the top of the twin towers.

I've been home. My cousins from the Philippines visited and gave them a tour so we mostly been to ROSS and the Outlet. Went to a tourist spots but they didn't seem to enjoy it. LOL! They were too tired from when we went to the outlet. We were there for 8 hours!! They mostly purchased items to take home. LOL!

I live in N.M.. But I have been from Mexico to Canada, all over the southwest, lived in Ohio, texas. also visited mi., in. Wi, North Dakota, South Dakota, ok. Ka. Alaska.  Know I am missing some. But out of all of the  states I still love N.M. he best.

New York is an awesome city - I know because I was  born and raised there.  It's the only place you can get all the "culture" you want from Broadway plays to art museums and street fairs.

I agree with you, but then again, I was born and raised there, too, LOL.  The Broadway shows are probably what I miss the most.  I used to have so much fun going to those shows.  I also love the fast pace.  You know, I've never really slowed down, nor did I ever lose my "accent."  I worked in lower Manhattan all those years and I was constantly around the Twin Towers and Wall Street.  Shopping is awesome in NY.  Lunch time shopping was great!  I used to pick up some beautiful clothes and shoes for fantastic prices!  I haven't been back to NY since 1995 when I had my daughter baptized at my local parish in Brooklyn.  Now, things have changed a lot in my old neighborhood.  They say you can never go home, and I believe it's true.  I thank God for my good memories - growing up with my relatives all around me, working in Manhattan, and all of the fun jobs and experiences I had being a New Yorker.  There's nothing quite like it!

I drove through Manhattan a couple weeks ago coming back from Brooklyn and this was midnight and it seemed like in was rush hour, 5 o clock in the afternoon.
