I text them back, just so that they can correct the number and so that I won't have a lot of unwanted messages in my phone.

It's happened to me a couple times and I text them back saying they have the wrong number.

I would text them and tell them they have wrong number.  If they continue to text after that, I would block their number.

This is what I do also ... hopefully once they realize they have the wrong number they correct their mistake

I know a cop who got a text from a girl he did not know and the text was a pic of her *bleep* with no shirt on.  He answered her and told her she obviously had the wrong number and that he was a cop.  He said she texted back begging him not to arrest her and that she didn't mean to send it to him. lol.  Idk.  I put numbers in my phone and save them as a contact so it's hard to text a total random stranger.  Unless you put the number in wrong or they flat out give you the wrong number.
