i told her to out with her friends but she told me she wasn't going out today she wanted to spend the day with me so we are watching moves and just hanging out together

About the only time I get to relax with my kids is when they are sick.  The last time my daughter was sick was about five years ago. I went to the store and picked up chicken noodle soup, chocolate milk and all three 'bring it on movies'. I really sacrificed as I feigned interest and excitement in three cheerleading movies that were loaded with poor plots, acting and way too predictable.  I never mentioned, to my daughter, that all three movies were basically rewrites of the previous one and just made sure that she was comfortable and on the road to recovery. When she napped I went to my study and worked until I heard her stirring again and then I went back for another dose of mundane movies.
