What do you do when your company stays too long. Do you start giving hints or you just ride it out.

I normally just ride it out, however, it depends on how late it is.

Tell them you're  going to bed.  Turn out the lights go to your room and close the door.  I'm sure they'll get the hint.

Oh I like that one, that's good.  It reminds me of those situation comedy programs.  There would be a scene like what you described and the guests would look around, baffled not knowing what to do.  Eventually they leave but it's quite funny in the mean time.

I would try to gently and politely tell them I have things to do now, or I'm getting tired, etc. :)
