Those with the right heart condition, then, will come to realize that they may need to make changes. For example, concerning those in the Christian congregation in ancient Corinth who had once been thieves, drunkards, adulterers, and the like, Paul said: “That is what some of you were. But you have been washed clean . . . with the spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9-11) Jehovah’s holy spirit is just as active and powerful today, and it can move people to make the necessary changes.

hitch, I'd just like to point out that I'm an Atheist so that you don't waste your time. I don't believe in any form of a god.

Silent...if i may also...i was trying to point out also to you that just cos many support the bible <or claim they do>they prove false to its power as Jesus said would exist in the last days.

You are saying or asking why are they so hypocritical....right?

Lets just say in the long run its wise to examine your religeon cos i can give you a zillion reasons many claim to support bible but prove false to its power.

They might be better off being atheists too...LOL!!

Jesus said many who died in ignorance in Sodom were better off than someone like Judas.Judas knew Jesus was Gods son.He sinned against holy spirit.No forgivness for that sin.

  Religion is trying to study and understand God with the mind. You need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Then and only then will you be able to understand God's Word. Don't look to people for spiritual fulfillment and Religion. It is a spiritual condition of not being born again. The only way to correct it is to be born again.

While i will admit there are many wolves out there in sheep clothing,didnt Jesus send his apostles out to preach?

Jesus also said,"those that endure TO THE END will be saved"

There is much more involved than saying,"i believe in Jesus so i am born again".
