I do kinda prefer it when we get an extra hour of sleep. But when it gets dark early it means have to reset our lamp that is on a timer so we don't walk into a dark house after my youngest daughters class she has on Wednesday nights from 5:45 to 7:30.

I hate the time changes. I wish they would just turn the clock back one half hour now and leave it that way permanently. I hate that it gets dark early and I have a problem driving at night these days.

I love the fall but I hate to see the light closing in on us. It's dark by a little after 6pm and it stays dark until 7am. It will get worse as time goes on. Thankfully the holidays distract us from some of the dreariness.

It seems my body quickly adjusts to the new time.  Losing or gaining an hour twice a year isn't so bad.

I do like Daylight Savings Time. Without it, our children would be either going to school in the dark or coming home from school in the dark - neither of which is ideal. I appreciate that the down sides of not having DST is that it feels like we are getting up ever so early. It does feel strange when I am running my kids to school when the sun has barely come over the horizon, and then a week later after our clocks change, they're going to school in the daylight again!

I don't like the time change!  I don't work anymore but when I did, I hated it being dark when I'd get home in the evenings.  Being light a little earlier in the am is fine but not the evenings being dark so early.

Every year it's the same   :bs:  spring forward or fall back.  The gov should just leave time alone.

I don't like it getting dark during the winter time early and I like the extra hour of sleep during the transition

 Daylight saving time is Nov. 2

Don't know who sets the day, but I think its good so we can sleep an extra hour.

Wrong, DST ends on Nov. 2nd (see http://www.timeanddate.com/time/change/usa/new-york). It's always confusing to people since most people want more daylight during the winter than the summer and so think they are saving daylight then when the clock switches. But as Hawkeye mentioned:
Actually, it is the opposite and it will be lighter in the morning. Clocks are moving back, which means 7 AM now will be 6 AM in a few weeks. 7 AM will then be like it is at 8 AM now.
and so you are saving the daylight in the early morning when fewer people are up than at night. This is why I love DST, but hate Standard time; I'd rather get off of work when there's still some daylight and can still enjoy it than having more light in the mornings when I'm mostly indoors (either at home or once I arrive at work).

I don't like it.  It won't be long until I go to work in the dark and then come home in the dark.  Plus it gets colder!  How depressing the winter time is!
Have a wonderful day!

It's time for SAD to set in.  I for one don't like winter just because it gets dark at 5!
