You are absolutely correct...being disorganized has nothing to do with your capabilities but it does have to do with being inefficient, taking longer to complete tasks and having less patience. I am quite organized. I never lose things because they all have their spot. I do not spend time looking for car keys, backtracking in order to find misplaced items, or getting frustrated at wasting time looking for things. I am able to coast through working, on average, eighty hour work weeks, catching all of my children's sporting/academic events and have a date night with my wife once every two weeks. Being disorganized would rob me of at least two hours per week/one hundred and four hours a year which is thirteen days of production. So I choose to not be disorganized and have an additional thirteen days to reach my goals.
