yep we're opening a resale shop in loves park, il. we have had the spot for 9 months. we had to renovate the whole place and we're not done yet. now we have help so it shouldnt take much longer to open.

it's hard work opening a resale shop when u dont have much money. always in debt and it's very hard to get out.

I wish you the best of luck.  I have always wished to do something like that.  My dream was to open a little shop and call it The Pocket-Book.  I would have two of my favorite passions - purses and books, either new or used.  But now I have developed some medical problems and don't have the energy.  That would be fun, though.

yes we had 2 sales already in the shop but the second one failed big time. we closed early on sunday. i took a to day to be there for the sale but we decided to do something else with the time. other that weekend we made a lousy 23$. the sale was very dead and so was the sales around us for a saturday. a nice saturday.

Good Luck to you! Having your own business can be a lot of work but it can also be a lot of fun. Make sure that you are constantly thinking of ways to keep that business flowing through the door. I had three corporations and ended up working all of the time but I was able to work from home, occasionally, and never missed my kid's events or their developmental years. The strongest of my corporations succumbed to the crushed mortgage/real estate market in 2005. I had worked every imagineable job since then but managed to fall into a more secure niche about fife years ago. Having worked some pretty atrocious jobs has turned me into a workaholic in an industry that pays me fairly well.
