are there any of you out there that enjoy writing? specifically screenplays? I use to write them all the time. Especially when I was in highschool, but now i get writers block, and it seems like internet has taken over my life lol.

I love writing, have a great passion for it. I've tried my hand at a few screen plays. It really forces you to take a different look at a conventional story, a fantastic exercise for any writer is to take a short story and try to make a screen play out of it. As for writer's block, the way I deal with it is to actually just write anything until the block goes away or just do something completely different for awhile, but just for awhile.

ive tried that. i think it is different for each person. and to turn a short story into a full length screenplay would take a lot of creative thinking.

I would love to be a screen writer and will hopefully will be taking a class in the near future to get some technique down. I do write articles and I get inspiration by reading a lot of other articles, opinion pieces, etc...

I suggest maybe reading other people's stories, joining a Meet-Up group with other screenwriters, taking a class to get some inspiration, etc...
