Blame Game
« on: August 07, 2014, 09:32:55 am »
Why is it.. That we as people constantly play a blame game... Why do we not get held accountable for our own actions? Why do we praise God For anything good that happens.. Then turn around and blame the devil for anything bad that happens... Why do we claim insanity when we know that's another way of blaming something or someone of doing something they did or did not do..
Is everything a Conisidence? Is it really God and the devil or even our insanity.. Or is just not being held accountable for our own actions?

How do you feel about this? What is your opinion? What our your thoughts?

Now i can see if its something that happen directly to you where the blame game would be valid. Say like if someone you knew stole your idea at work and presented it to a crowd of people as his own work pretty much stealing your idea , your promotion & robbing you out of a better life. Yeah id blame him for that then sue him. But on the other hand i can't praise god for giving me a promotion that i earned. I earned it not him. Sorry for god had nothing to do with it. Just like if something bad happen to me. No can't blame the devil . It's common sense life happens and anything can happen to any one of us at any given moment or point in which we are not under control of. Sorry the devil didn't do it accidents just simply happen.

That is very interesting....I do think the blame game IS happening all the time. We will, one day, be held accountable for all we do and say.  God holds us responsible for how we respond to things.  Sometimes things happen to us that are not our faults. How do we respond? If we use that situation to make an excuse for bad behavior or wrong responses, we are held accountable for that! NO one seems to be held accountable for their actions these days, and it's to our own destruction!

It's immaturity, fear and low self esteem.

I've encountered people, who's job it was to do a service for me, screw it up, creating a big mess for me to deal with.  Then when I lodged a complaint about their error, expecting them to fix it, they blamed me for not expressing gratitude for what they did instead of owning their mistake.  ???

There's definitely been a shift in our society where people stopped accepting accidents as accidents and holding people accountable for their actions.

When I was a kid, if I was to disobey my parents, and sneak into a neighbor's yard to climb their tree, and fall and get hurt; my father first would first make me apologize to the neighbor for trespassing on their property, then give me a spanking for disobeying the rules.

Now-a-days, same scenario - the parents would blame the neighbor for not having a tall enough or secure enough fence to keep their child out, and petition the city to have the neighbor cut down the "offending" tree.  It couldn't possibly be that their little "angel" did anything wrong - the child was lured "against their will" into the neighbor's yard by that dangerous tree.

Where did we go wrong...???

Honestly I think the blame game has 2 primary motives behind it:

1) God gave us a conscience, and it is unsettled when we do wrong things.  We play the blame game to lie to ourselves, so that we can manufacture some sort of false sense of peace with our conscience. This looks like: rationalization, justification, and....blame!

2) We honestly hope that if we can convince others (especially God) that our circumstances are anything other than the fruit of our own sinfulness, we might not receive the punishment we deserve, because someone else (who is *REALLY* at fault) will take that punishment, instead. Because of this, the blame game is ultimately extreme selfishness.

The catch is this: you can't get free if you don't know you're a prisoner. Owning up to your shortcomings/failings/wrongdoing gives God the opportunity to work in that area of your life and grow you through that working.  So we have to take responsibility if we want to get out of bondage.

It depends on the situation.  If someone literally did something to you, then I believe you have the right to blame that on them.  But yeah, I don't get it where someone gets caught cheating or lying or something, and the first thing they do is blame everyone except for them.

We look for excuses for good or bad! Admitting faults means being weak to some.

Minion..it really is quite simple.Even ADAM AFTER A&E sinned blamed Eve.He said to God,the woman you gave me.

Humans are created with freedom of choice.

The bible says, the whole world lies in the power of the wicked one.Satan has been allowed to rle this world after rebellion in Eden.He challenged Jehovahs right to rule and said mankind would be better off being independent on his own.God has allowed time to pass to prove his rule and mans independence doesnt work very well. All you have to do is see the sorry state and history of mankind.

However God forces no one to serve him.Love isnt automatic.Hes made provision thru his son Jesus dying to ransom.

God trys NO one with evil.Mans choices and Satan have caused the sad state of affairs worldwide.

Also remember,Time and unforseen occurrence befalls everyone. What that means is if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Also remember we reap what we sow.EX...Bernie Madooff got rich for years with scam...nows hes in jail forever with the memory of a dead son probably cos of his scheme.

WE don't.  Society, some of them may do that.  But I certainly don't.

God gives us free will.  Our choices have an effect on us as well as other people.  For example, a person gets drunk and drives the wrong way on the interstate and hits a family headed for vacation head on.  He survives but kills the mother of 3 children and their grandfather.  So now, these 3 kids are without parents (father not in picture).  Their lives are changed forever because of the CHOICE of one person who decided to get wasted and then drive a car.  Oh and let's not forget the 2 people who lost their life because of the CHOICE one other person made.

The devil did not have anything to do with it.  John Doe that decided to get drunk (a choice he made all by himself) caused it.  Yes God could have stopped it.  But that is not how it works.  We live in a world full of sin.  And again, people have free will.

While a drunk killing many may have made that bad decision on his own....why dont you take a look at Adam Lanzas eyes and tell me he wasnt possessed!!!Or that people in the past havent made sacrifices of their children in the name of satan....or that christendom isnt influenced by the devils teachings.....

Didnt Jesus expel demons from people that were possessed in his day? What makes you think its any different today?Satans influence on 2 World wars wasnt there....LOL!!!

Maybe some of you might consider going over your notes....

“THE ruler of this world will be cast out,” said Jesus to the people on one occasion. Later, he added that ‘the ruler of the world had no hold on him’ and that “the ruler of this world has been judged.” (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11) Of whom was Jesus speaking?
Considering what Jesus was saying about “the ruler of this world,” it is obvious that he could not have been referring to his Father, Jehovah God. Who, then, is “the ruler of this world”? How will he be “cast out,” and how has he been “judged”?
“The Ruler of This World” Reveals Himself
Just as a master criminal often takes pride in boasting about his power, so did the Devil when tempting Jesus, the Son of God. After showing Jesus “all the kingdoms” of the world, Satan made him this offer: “I will give you all this authority and the glory of them, because it has been delivered to me, and to whomever I wish I give it. You, therefore, if you do an act of worship before me, it will all be yours.”—Luke 4:5-7.

I think sometimes people are just dodging taking responsibility and sometimes they truly think someone else is accountable for whatever has happened.
