Back to school memory

As a young person, I can remember being very, very excited about back to school shopping.  We were borderline poor so the prospect of getting something new was cause for excitement so my mom would make sure that I got a new outfit to go along with the basic paper and pencil.  Not a lot but it meant a lot.  What are your back to school memories?

I was always excited to go shopping for new school clothes. How exciting that was to bring the bags home and try everything on.
