The only thing I could suggest is enforce a rule for all to follow if you take it out, put it back; if you spill it, clean it up; and if you see something messy - don't leave it for the next guy!!

Housekeeping is just one of those thing that has to be done. I find that setting up a schedule and sticking to it helps a lot. Once I've done the scheduled tasks I am off to doing what ever I want. Having that schedule also allows me to get organized.

Just don't be lazy and clean up after yourself and before you know when you do have to clean its not that much of a mess that it would take the whole day.

CAMPGROUND MENTALITY  Leave it cleaner than you found it.
I found that if my husband and I actually keep up with this idea it works SO well!
If you leave a room leave it cleaner than you found it. So if I'm going into the kitchen and see something out of place when I leave I just put it back. If you keep this up it makes the cleaning load A LOT lighter.  CLEAN AS YOU GO! If you do this the messes tend to be smaller than if you do it all at once. My husband and I both work full time so it's hard to find a whole day or times when I want to clean. I promise this works. :)

It certainly is a never ending job.  Only tips are feeling that come from within.  Doing it regularly helps but you have to take pride in how your house looks.
