outing at the local park
« on: June 20, 2014, 06:45:14 am »
There is a huge park here in Fort Myers, Florida.
It's called Lakes Park.
There are 2 "shower pools", a mini train for parents and children, picnic huts for outdoor groups parties, surrey bicycles, extensive grounds with numerous bike trails and bridges. There is even a flower garden you can walk through.
It is the most amazing park I have seen.

I did one on Fathers Day. Just stopped at a local state park and took a walk on some of the trails. I watched a volleyball match. Then I watched the boats and jet skis on the water. It was fun! I did get too hot so I went home, the long way!

That sounds super fun! I don't think I've ever been to a park quite so extravagant, haha. :) My dad goes hiking every chance he gets in the mountains, but I haven't been anywhere in years except small parks with your standard small lake, bicycle trail, kids' playground, etc. Glad you had fun! :star: :rainbow: :rose:

Any size park is fun if you have the right people to enjoy it with. We have grandkids 3,000 miles away and a trip to the park when we see them is on the agenda every time.
