Survey re: books read
« on: June 17, 2014, 04:49:58 pm »
Boy this was a long one!  It was one of those that resulted from not qualifying for the one I originally clicked on.  Will be interested to see what it pays!

Hope everyone is having a good time on FC!

I happen to run into this book survey myself.  The certainly do want a lot of information on the books you purchased. They even want the ISBN number and I have no idea what that is.

It's usually on the first couple pages with the publishing information

As ladavia89 said, you can find the ISBN with the publication information, usually on the back of the title page of a book.  It can usually be found about midway down the page a few lines under the "Library of Congress Cataloging-in-Publication Data" line.  It's a 10 to 13 digit number (depending upon the age of the book) that looks something like this:  978-0-399-15635-9.  The ISBN of every book is different and is used to identify the book and publisher, among other things.  You can also generally find the ISBN on the back cover of a book with the UPC barcode.  It should be printed at the top of the code and clearly identified by "ISBN".

I've completed a long FC survey before. I thought I was going qualify and turns out I did not quality at all as soon as I completed it. It has happened to me before. Hopefully we can qualify for a new FC survey that we get invited to.

You can also look up the book on Amazon, they list the ISBN in their descriptions.

On some of them I didn't have the ISBN but was able to just put the title in ... that seemed to work okay.  Anyway, I think I was paid .80 for it.  Not toooo bad. :-\

Actually I thought this was a survey about books you bought. I did take this survey and I cannot remember what the payout was.
