We don't eat bread anymore but use flour tortillas when we eat a sandwich.  It still has carbs but not as much.  We try not to eat potatoes of any kind as much as we used to and same with rice.  The rice is the hardest thing to stay away from for me because I LOVE rice!

Breads, potatoes . are really bad for you. The older the potato the more starch in it. Use brown rice instead of white rice. Best get a book that will help you along the way.
