Dark circles under the eyes
« on: April 11, 2014, 07:35:42 pm »
Ok women, I need suggestions about products that get rid of dark
dark circles under the eyes. I have heard of so many products, but not
sure which one to buy.

What products have you had success with?

The olay roller pen works ok, but nothing really gets rid of the dark circles for me. I learned mine are from my allergies (sort of a purplish color)... if you have allergies you may want to research the topic.

I'm very translucent and have under eye circles - naturally during allergy season it get's worse.  I have found that getting plenty of vitamin D and drinking plenty of water helps a lot.  Plenty of sleep and using cucumber slices helps too.  Other than cover ups I've never tried anything else.  My daughter has deep darker circles than myself (As does my son) they both wear glasses and that shadow from the lens creates a diversion from the circles.

I've tried different skin care products for this with no noticeable results.  :( I've heard things like potato slices, cucumber slices, and lemon juice are supposed to help, but I doubt they're miracle workers. Also, gently massaging the under eye area and sleeping propped up on pillows---but who really knows? Sometimes they just feel like a curse! Good luck with yours.  :)

it may be due to allergies. Cold cucumber slices laid over the eyes a few minutes a day may help, also getting plenty of rest and lots of water.

I don't have dark circles, but I do periodically use concealer for random discoloration.

I do have bags under my eyes often, usually from sleeping in contacts.  I use a $5.00 product from the Body Shop, it's a clear gel that gets rid of the puffiness called ElderFlower Unperfumed Eye Gel.    Best buy in town.

I always have dark circles, and allergy season just makes it worse its not really cucumbers that reduce them its the coldness so chill them pretty good or use a cold spoon  to reduce puffiness and get the blood circulating

This isn't really a product but it helps me. I have bad sinuses, even worse since I moved, and I rinse my nose out with warm salt water. Sometimes dark circles are caused by all that crud in your sinuses. I usually do it when I wake up. Sometimes I have to do it morning and night. Cold compresses on your eyes wouldn't hurt either.

Taking a multi-vitamin and extra D3 and magnesium has worked for me.
