Lotion Talk!
« on: March 09, 2014, 10:01:31 am »
What kind of lotion do you prefer best?
Do you moisturize more when it's cold?
Do you test new lotions out? Or are you loyal to your brand?

i used to have one that i loved but can't remember the name. it was given to me as  gift while pregnant. it was an almond one that smelt exactly like ben and jerrys cherry garcia ice cream. when i looked it up it was $38!

Right now I'm not using any lotion, I use shea butter. But when I did use lotion, I like Queen Helene Coco Butter lotion.

I like to splurge with Red Door Luxurious Body Cream because it is a nice complement to the Red Door perfume I always wear. I smear it all over my arms and legs after a shower and it feels and smells just great.

I generally don't use lotion a lot but recently I've beens o dry that I put on a little bit when at work.  I use EOS cause their stuff is all natural and the smallest bit can go a long way.

My favorite is Jergen's Ultra Healing.  I have tried Nivea Smooth Sensation, which is pretty good but the scent kills me.  I've also tried Suave Smoothing with Cocoa Butter and Shea.  It's not bad, but I don't care for the scent too much.  I will try out other brands if they sound like they may work for me but, for the most part, I always come home to Jergens.  It seems to work the best for me and doesn't have an overwhelming scent that chokes me.

I love Aveeno and Suave lotions. I usually use fragrance-free or shea butter because most scents are overly-cloying and sweet in a bad way. The other scents just make me feel sick.  :'(

I prefer Suave, Vaseline intensive healing and Gold Bond.  When I was younger I would scratch my behind my knee's and my arms so bad they would bleed because of excesma.  My Mother would give me a bath in the hottest water possible...wash me with dial soap and lather me up with keri lotion.  When I was 13 she took me to a dermatologist and as it turns out I'm allergic to lanolin which was in both dial and keri.  No wonder I was so miserable.
