I love Hyundai's SUVs.  I sold my Santa Fe but I do miss it!  The Tuscon is good too, just a little smaller than the Santa Fe.  Honda Pilots are good.  Currently, I have a Dodge Caravan.  With 2 kids and 2 dogs, a Mini Van is the best option for me.  ;)

Do research online.  There are many comparison sites and you can put one model by another to compare.

Since everyone has different needs and tastes, I suggest taking a test drive on several different SUV's within your price range.  Be up front with the sales person that you are not sure what you want and that you need to get the feel of how each one handles on the road.

I think an SUV is a bad way to go with the gas prices being so high and only getting higher i would look for something smaller... unless its because you have a large family to caring around.
