Mozilla Firefox browser
« on: March 08, 2014, 07:41:19 am »
Has anyone else had trouble with Firefox?
In the last few weeks, popups would come up when I was trying to open a tab, so I got a tab open that I didn't want in addition to the one I wanted. Then, there were updates and I had to restart my computer to get out of those. The final straw was when I got a message that  took me to the Windows Help section with a warning.
I deleted the Firefox browser and found 2 new ones: Rocket and Diglo.

It sounds like maybe you have a virus. Firefox has been buggy lately, but that Windows help message sound like a virus. Do a scan on your computer, with Malwarebytes or Spybot search and destroy.

Firefox is my main browser and I don't experience any problems. That sounds more like a virus or spyware than a problem with the browser

It sounds more like you've got a trojan running loose on your computer.  I use Firefox, along with Ad Block Plus and get no pop-up windows or strange messages/warnings.  You should run a malware scan and virus scan to see if anything strange is going on.
