Five inches yesterday, and seven more predicted for today. The roads aren't drivable at all where I am in WV. I am so done with this winter.

We got about 8-12 inches in No NJ -- hard to tell since it started raining late yesterday and much of the snow was compacted.  There was a bit more overnight, but I expected conditions would worsen.  But it was better than expected.

Helped that it was 40 degree (F) today and melting.  Sidewalks that were cleaned off last night were dry and walkable.  Still lots of snow on the roads and tough to drive if people parked on the street.  But we survived and the power stayed on.

We had about an inch of snow and lots of ice in the south Atlanta area. Didn't loose power though unlike my brother who is in Augusta 2 1/2 hours from us.

This winter for us here in South Carolina was one of the worst that I can remember. I'm on the coast, but we still got a good amount of snow. However, the worst part of it was the ice on Thursday. Thousands of people are still without power, and they do not know when the power will be restored.

We had to open several places to serve a shelter (warm places) for people who were homeless, or had lost power for heating at their homes. I felt so sorry for so many having to experience real, hard cold for several days now.

But one thing that really blessed me was that every person interviewed on TV about the winter storm, was positive about their situation, and said that they realize it would take time for the power crews to restore power.

I'm ready for summer time :-).

Blessings

The sun melted the snow today. The roads are drive able again. I'm amazed that there are still cars left on the side of the road as I went to work today.

We still have a lot of snow on the ground. Yesterday it was in the thirties and most of the snow melted and left water. Today the weather is less then thirty and everything is ice.
