I have an IPad and really love it.  It's similar to my IPhone so it was easy to learn.

Whatever type of tablet you decide to get make sure you buy a case for it. I found out the hard way that a case will save your tablet from unexpected drops. I do have a 10" trio G2.

I have a lenovo tablet but it is big and bulky compared to the nice Samsung one we just bought my mother for Christmas. I think there are some electronic stores you can take your old devices to and get a credit toward a purchase. I think I will do that in the coming months.

good for you!!!  I have a Kindle HD and love it - especially when I travel.  I can check e-mails, play games, read books, watch movies, etc.  and it's small enough but yet big enough so it doesn't take up a lot of room.  Hope you get what you want!!!

I have an iPad and I love it, particularly for FaceTiming with my kids. They can show me how their dogs and cats are doing and interesting things about their house, particularly at holiday time when they have decorated trees and such. I love seeing them in person while I am talking with them. I also like to stay up late reading in my cozy bed at night and find other friends up late too for doing stuff like playing Words With Friends on Facebook which is fun to do without having to get out of bed to go to a PC to play.

Got an iPad Mini for Christmas.  One of the reasons I wanted it is so I can FaceTime my daughters.  I also play Scrabble, Words with Friends, Candy Crush, go on Facebook, go on the internet, etc.

I don't have a tablet.  I am concerned about the typing.  I have a Samsung Galaxy 4 phone which I love...and is like a small tablet but texting sucks...I'm going to have to try voice texting.  Good luck with your tablet.  I love touch screen and the visuals are great.

I got a cheap one on Ebay for $60 and my wife just took it on a trip and LOVED it. I got it mostly out of curiosity, but ended up having fun with it. It is a little slow online, but I can't expect much at that price.

I have a tablet.  I purchased a Cruz T301 from Heartland America for $89 nearly two years ago.  For a long time, I could not figure why the thing didn't work.  After doing some further investigation on my own, I discovered that someone else had owned the tablet prior to me.   I went in, changed the name in it to my name, and it worked.  At the moment, it is not working because my Wi-fi is down.  Same thing with my Kindle Fire.  I have had it for three years.  I need to find a wi-fi system that works.  Anyone can advise me on where I can find a wireless router that can be installed through my HughesNet modem? ??? :rainbow:

As long as your modem hooks to your computer with an rj45 cable any router should work fine.
