Weight loss tips
« on: January 15, 2014, 03:20:31 am »
One tip i have always been told is to he prepared. Tomorrow
I start my 3 day fasting for my weight loss program, which consists
Of eating either red meat, chix or fish, raw veggies like lettuce, cucumber, etc, and two oranges.
So i did my shopping and today i will cut my orange for breakfast and
One for snack and cook my chix with mrs dash and put my veggies
In a small bowl so I can take them to work.

I want tomorrow to be easy as possible.

What tips do you use?

I cut out about 95% of processed foods for 2 months, lots over 20lbs.  It's amazing how just eating FRESH foods (meats, veggies, fruits, nuts) changes how you feel and how much weight you lose.

I try to eat according to the weight watchers plan.  You can eat just about anything you want as long as it is cooked the correct way and you watch your portion size.  Lots of fruits and vegetables.

At the moment I'm eating lots of rice crackers with cottage cheese and a slice of pineapple. Also, I'm eating many salads with home made croutons on a sesame/sunflower seed bread. I toast the bread and then wash with a little olive oil and seasonings. They are really super tasty. I add lean chicken and raisons soaked in orange juice.

You can try the 3 day military diet.. My brother used that when he was trying to get into the navy and needed to lose a little weight not only did he lose weight he started eating better.. No clue how that worked for him.. Also as most people know some diet tricks and tips will not work for everyone and if you can't really stick to your diet or whatever try eating smaller portions of things but snacking more.. Like maybe breakfast.. apple here and there maybe even a banana.. It is said that if you snack more healthier in the day.. you won't really be hungry and you can loose weight easily without doing expensive diets  Good Luck on your mission!

I eat less processed foods and I'm eating less fast food. I'm increasing my water and fiber intake. I try to make an effort to eat more vegetables and fruits.

Before you even start really dieting you could try the detox diet to get rid of any toxins in your body. Just fruits and veggies for a week (raw). That would give you an instant pick me up and have more energy. Then you could do a regular diet after that but keep it simple because if you over complicate it you'll probably fail at it. Portion size and healthier options would help. PS peanut butter is a real healthy option if you can get it just all natural & not ones that use peanut oil in there mixture. High in fiber to. So putting it on say like celery would be a good healthy snack. Foods rich in iron & protean like red meats also good if you eat them in smaller sizes would also help. Take what you currently have in food and compare them to other foods. Then try a lil taste test ( no ones going to stay on a diet long if they don't like the food) . Get the foods that agree with your taste buds.

I've never really desired to lose weight. But I keep my diet basic: make sure to get 'the recommended portion' of all the food-groups (below), and 'chew each bite 30 times,' and (advice from Penn Jilette of "Penn & Teller") DON'T EAT WHEN YOU'RE FULL!

I go with the Weight Watchers plan, which is pretty easy to follow.  No foods are disallowed. Reasonable portions are necessary.  I tried the low carb Atkins diet and lost 20 pounds.  Then I ate a plate of fettuccini and gained in all back in one day.  Not quite that fast, but once added more carbs I gained it back fast.  I can't give up carbs.

I eat on a diet is all fruits and vegies. Just remember it won't be easy to avoid things you like. Remember the only way to resist temptation is to stay away from the snack isle in your supermarket and don't take up white bread. Always go for whole wheat or whole grain breads. Good luck and happy dieting.

One tip I find useful is to always have a bottle of water handy. When you feel hungry, fill up on water instead of goodies. That saves mucho calories. Another is to exercise at least every other day for about an hour. I find staying on a diet a lot easier when I do that too.

I stocked up on healthy foods and got rid of anything I couldn't eat. Can't eat what's not there.
