I'll be doing after Christmas shopping, but I don't usually go by ads. I get what I need when I need it, after shopping around for the best prices.

I was tempted earlier to buy something because a company was offering a promo code which brought a beautiful set of nail polish down to one cent, with $5 shipping. I'm still tempted to go back and order it anyway, but with my luck it will be a monthly subscription thing and I'll end up with a negative bank balance because I'd forget to cancel it.

Seems like you're paying more in shipping for what the product is worth.

I always cringe when I see how much shipping and handling will be when I order something online.  Sometimes, I just can't pay the price when I know I could go to a retail store and eliminate the shipping costs.  I guess it would depend on how far away the store is, since gas prices add up too!  I did do a bit of Christmas shopping online, and I always checked to see if I could get money back using the FusionCash toolbar.  I have received several small amounts from cash back shopping in December.  It all adds up and helps to make the shipping costs easier to take!

Yeah and watch out for Office Depot!  When you order something online, they will offer you a 10 % discount on that purchase.   But it is only for commercial accounts and not personal ones(this is very misleadind)  I will not shop at Office Depot for now on! :( :(

Good reminder! All those sale, discount, and special offer...
But on the other side, that is what make economic in this country live.

Just be wise.

Buying nothing is a better deal than buying something that you don't need for cheap.
