Held for 30 years!

Just heard on TV that 3 women were held as hostages for 30 years in England!  What is going on, first we hear about the 3 here, now it happened in England.  Makes you wonder where else this is happening.

This is so wierd. How does this happen? I can't imagine what this must have been like for these women - I mean 30 years! I hear that the Capturers are now 67 years old - how can a 67 year old even keep a dog captive? I wonder if they ever tried to escape or whether they thought about calling anyone throughout these thirty years. I wonder if the couple ever left the house together and the women were scared of repercussions if they tried to escape.
