I was in a long distance relationship once. My boyfriend at the time went to the Navy. We had plans. We were going to get married and I was going to move to Virginia where he was stationed. But the plans fell through. He couldn't do the long distance thing. It can be very hard. That was a very hard time for me but luckily everything happened the way it did otherwise I would not have met my wonderful husband I am with today.

long distance relationships are hard. most of my family lives in different parts of the east coast and i'm on the west coast. a couple of months ago, I had a family member pass away and I couldn't afford to go to the funeral. now i'm saving my money trying to move back, this distance and time difference thing is killing me.

I've been in a long distance relationship for several years now and it's fine for me.  We text and play games online daily.  We see each other every few months or so and it works for me.

I was in a long distance relationship many years ago.  For a lot of people it works, unfortunately for us it didn't.

They don't work for most.
It is rare you can find a committed couple who
will not give in to the temptation of those
around them.

I myself, have several long distance relationships...i find that absence makes the heart grow fonder... also...some family members need to far away if they drive you crazy...many friends in different places...we stay in  touch...and a boyfriend that i am in touch with everyday... we visit as often as we can...until we both find a permanent job and living arrangement...it just strenghtens our bond we already have with the occasional distance...

I think all relationships depend on each person involved. If you know what you are getting in to, then you can make arrangements to make it work.
