Raseberries

I raised some great raseberries this year,in fact I'm still picking some,not for long because the freeze has started.I think you're supposed to prune them in the fall,however I do it in the spring and all has been fine.

Do you mean raspberries?  I love making beverage syrup from fresh raspberries.

You must mean raspberries. They make great jam if you take out the seeds. I've seen more of them in the markets the last couple of years. They are great. I used to grow my own too. But they tend to multiply so fast that they can take over your space if you don't keep on top of them so i found them to be too much work.

I live in TX and have not gotten my bushes to grow. Maybe it is too hot for them here. I have blackberries growing wild on my property. I sure would like the tart raspberry to give me some variety. I guess I need to do more research on the soil conditions required for raising them. Glad to see someone loves them like I do!

I haven't grown any since I was a teen at the house I grew up in. My mom and I love them so we would eat them as fast as they grew but we did also make Jelly from them.
