I enjoy going to them, but my wife doesn't like them all that much, so we rarely stop.

We have co-hosted one with our next door neighbor a few times in the past.  We really didn't have enough to hold our own, and they didn't have much of a variety of items (most of it were items they had a large quantity of the same item of), so it worked out well.  Our city now requires a permit to run a sale which I believe costs $15 and only is good for two or three consecutive days, and you are only allowed two or three permits a year.  This was implemented to stop homes essentially having weekly yard sales as a means of business, which neighbors began complaining over due to the traffic, people, and general eyesore they have to look at on a weekly basis.

I don't host yard sales, nor do I go to others yard sales.  Buying other peoples junk is not a turn on for me.  People are simply not clean.

I probably prefer going to them. They are more work than you think to host them.

Used to go to yard sales with my mom and grandmother every weekend.  They have both passed away  so I very seldom go to any.  Miss them terribly.  Thought about

having one of my own I  have enough stuff  lol   Just getting the time to do it I guess.

Did find a fantastic corner cupboard one day,,,,,  brought it home, sanded it and then painted it,,,   beautiful  :D

Still have it,,,  that was about 10 years ago.  Love that thing  lol
