Solar Cooking

I like the idea of solar cooking, but I'm not sure I'm adventurous or patient enough to try it.

I've never done any cooking using the sun. It does sound interesting. I think I'm going to do some research on it.

I made sun tea a long time ago, and we used to fry eggs on the sidewalk when I was a kid. I live in Florida, so that was not a challenge.

I have made solar tea when I was younger by putting the jar, with the water and tea bag in it, and sitting it on a porch.  As I got older, I used the same items, but I put it on window ledge and made my solar tea.

same here, have done the tea thing and baked potatoes.  my son actually fried an egg once as a science experiment

you can search the interweb for solar cooking items, 'survival' equipment sellers all have a number of things that are 'solar cookers' of various descriptions. I would caution that most of these items should be looked at VERY closely as quite a few that I have seen are really junk. Some are quite substantial, but all of them seem to be quite over priced. Also, given the desire, none of these cannot be made by yourself with not a lot of trouble. A trip to Home Depot or Lowes will supply with any and everything need to produce a likely superior item for a fraction of the retail asking price.
