Mainly flowers; but I tried for different bloom times by going to the garden center once on May, once in June, so on and so forth.  I also tried to pick plants that attract hummingbirds or butterflies or helpful to the birds.   When I see one sucking on the nectar I feel rewarded for my efforts to make a green and healthy niche for the pollinators.   My one apple tree is buggy. but I still like having it.  8)

I have some different plants and a few different types of trees that we planted ourselves and some flowers here & there including a couple rose bushes. Mostly though, we just grow weeds with a bit of grass. LOL Darn weeds have pretty much taken over our lawn. They're such a pain because they just won't stay away and they grow so much faster than just grass does so that means having to mow more often.  :BangHead:

This is the first summer in our new home, and I want to grow so much stuff, but it is going to take me a few years to get the things I want.
I do have two apple (GREEN) trees, a pear tree, strawberries, blueberries and grapes. Of course this is all besides my actual garden.
My neighbor has cherry trees,(delicious) I cant wait to grow those too. I love my new home!!!

What do you grow in your yard?  I would love any ideas!!

Weeds. lol

I have several raised beds for garden stuff like tomatoes, peppers, squash, zucchini, and all kinds of stuff like that.

Also blueberry bushes, raspberries, black berries, figs, walnut trees.

I have a baby apple tree, tomatoes, strawberries, dewberries, wild grapes, catnip, and violets. I hope to plant much more when we move to a bigger place.

Oh yeah, I grew about 4 types of mint this year.  I have it drying in the basement.  Not sure what to do with it.
Any suggestions?  I am not sure how to make tea out of dried mint leaves.  I have citrus mint, chocolate mint, a spearmint, peppermint, and something else but don't remember what.
