i didn't know you can get paid for posting it on facebook. how do you do it?

I remember that offer from a long time ago. I think you could only do it once. But if I am not mistaken there was a bit of a falling out as Facebook became more commercial and changed the rules for commercial members. If it's still going or there is a new one you should be able to find the answer in the promotion thread that you are referring to.

I haven't seen anything about getting paid for posting to Facebook. I know there's a deal where you can get $0.50 for following FC on Twitter though. I guess I'll have to check to see if there is something about FB.
