Do you knock on wood?

I knock on wood to make a joke, but I don't believe in this superstition. I usually do this when I'm knock on someone's head saying "is anything in there?" Of course I only do this to people I'm close to.

I DO... and idk y? I've googled it... still don't know the true origins of this behavior. But then I think of other times where wood is symbol of good luck, such as on "showtime at the apollo" where contestants rub on a log for good luck before a performance...

I do sometimes but no all the time!  I guess it depends if I am around any wood or not...lol

Crazy, but even though I don't consider myself superstitious I have knocked on wood many times.  Why? I couldn't tell you but it must be an old habit. Oh Well.......

I used to knock on wood. But we all know that is a superstition. I guess it is how we were brought up.

Sometimes I actually knock on wood, sometimes I just say "knock on wood" . I think it's just habit from my mother and grandmother.

My understanding, not withstanding, is that if you and someone else says the same thing at the same time, you knock on wood.  Sounds silly to me.
