Being an adult and used to be a teen- the big difference
« on: April 26, 2013, 11:31:44 pm »
We all remember when we were young - to those who are around my age   ;D - Yet , the way I remember could only be from my point of view since I can't speak for anyone else.
Thinking that the world would never end and the choices made as a teen didn't seem to be choices ; it just seemed that that is how it was supposed to be. Now, at my age I really see what my parents always were saying to me . "When you get to be an adult you'll wish you didn't do this ."
So do you ever think back and wonder what ? - and if ? - you had known then; what you know now ? And would you do anything different; really think hard about this - it is not as easy to answer then you think.

Yes I think of this a lot and I would do a lot of things different if I knew then what I know now...There are also a few things that I would do the same cause I'm happy with where Iam now.

For me, being an adult is similar to being a teenager. My parents gave me a lot of freedom of choice. And I spent a lot of time around adults when I was younger, so I became mature faster.

I can't say there's anything in particular that I regret or would change/do differently.  Maybe I would have gotten along a little better with some of my siblings, but the "issues" we had were mostly typical sibling rivalry stuff - nothing serious.  Did some bad things happen?  Yes.  But those were mostly life that just happens to you.  All of those experiences shaped what I am today, and I'm happy where I am today.  I think if I knew then what I know now, I probably wouldn't have really changed any decisions.  I may have been a little more outgoing, but that might be about it.

I'm the type of person to live with no regrets.  Looking back on my life, to be honest, I wouldn't change a thing.  I am who I am in part because of all I have experienced, so I wouldn't change any of that because then I wouldn't be the same person I am today.  I'm guessing that's not exactly the answer you were looking for, but I'm not really old enough to look upon those years as being when I was vastly younger (I'm 29 now).

I dont see any difference between being a teen and an adult, as long as you are responsible, and make good choices.

As we age from our teen years to adulthood, we mature and think more about the consequences of our actions.  We also gain knowledge, wisdom and experience to allow us to make better or more careful decisions.

I think that answer is easy. If you did not do what was not suppose to do, how would you know it was wrong and you did not like to do it. Just because your Parents went through something, how do know if you do it  that it would be different? One thing my Dad taught me was that is you learn from your mistakes. No matter how much I tell you not to do it, I can not say if you do that it wont be different. No one in life knows that if they did something different it would be different even they knew what that person did before. In reality we a people would probably do it differently and it will never be the same because we are not the original person who did it and we make changes. Example: If Benjamin Franklin did not write papers of Silence Dogood who to say he would not have been the person he was and to invent. I do think the world will never end. I also think that Earth will be a place that have our people in future living in a world that we have formed a big bubble. Humans wont be able exist without some kind of shield that will allow them to breathe and procreate. EarthJustice

the difference between a teen and an adult is more responsibilities. I sometimes wish I could have made some different choices when i was younger but i did learn from them and that's is a part of growing up.

I probably wouldn't have rushed into things if I could do things differently. You live and learn though. That's how you grow up.

i dont look back and regret any of my choices or things that happen in my life.  It is important not to dwell on the past and enjoy the future ahead of you
