Toddlers car seat?

I need to buy my baby a new car seat. He just turned 1 he is 25 lbs and 31 inches I don't know which toddler seat is the best for him also not too expensive. Can someone help me please Which is the best brand and most affordable convertible toddler car seat?

I dont know if this is every city, town, state, but in the town we live in when my youngest daughter who was a tad bit bigger than most at the time of booster seats, I went to the local police department (as they show demonstration's on how to correctly place a booster seat in your car, AND if they have any donations of BRAND new booster seats along with car seats they will give you one.) Thats where I got mine for my daughter. I was at a loss for which one to use also and someone else had told me about the program. I would call your local department and just see if they have that program or if they know any place that might. Its pretty neat as the guy actually installed it in the car, (yes I know its not hard) but I thought it was wonderful that they did that for people.
