I signed up for twitter to make money, but I really do not  know what to do. Can someone explain how it works?

There is no direct way to make money from twitter. But I think some people use it as an advertising tool to market whatever program they are selling, so I guess you could potentially make money by using it as a referral tool.

I'm not aware of making money on twitter either.  If it was a connection on FC, I would go back and read it all again.  It could be the advertising thing :-

Just remember your account needs to be at least 30 days old, and have a minimum of five followers.  If you need followers, you can always reply in that other thread with your Twitter username, and people would be happy to follow you. If someone does follow you, it's considered polite to follow back.

Some people use it to promote their sites. But I've never heard of actually making money on it. Be nice if you could though. Maybe I would use it more.

I have a Twitter account but I seldom look at it.  I think it's pretty boring, also.  I am not a celebrity hanger-oner.  Most of them don't need to be any more "exalted" than they already are.  As for making money on Twitter, I would agree that it could be an advertising tool.  A lot of the survey and other sites ask you to Like them on Twitter, as with Facebook.  Some of them will give you points if you do that.  That's all I can think of.

I have a Twitter account, but I hardly use it. I dont understand why some celebrities are so obsessed with checking their Twitter all the time. One of the cohosts at Anderson Live mentioned that she is on Twitter all the time, and her 4 year old always keeps 'bothering' her to play with him.
