Since the 50th is the "Golden Anniversary", I'd suggest a "Gold-themed" dinner if you're on a limited budget.  Find a cheap gold tablecloth, use a cheap gold-colored centerpiece, and give cards with gold sparkles...  Remember, it's the thought that counts...

I did something similar to the scrapbook for my inlaws on their 50th.  In that case I had the closest friends/relatives send their snapshots and comments ahead of time and incorporated it all into the scrapbook. I tried to include something of every aspect - family, friends, milestones, travel and so on. It was a big hit.  Several years later the book served a poignant purpose as we used it to reacquaint my mother-in-law with her loved ones and memories as her dementia worsened.

well have card on way sending via mail for their siblings to sign have sisters gathering pics ,bought 50th photo album only have few weeks to do this,thanks for all the advice comes in handy

Whole family gather and say happy anyversary is the best present, i think. But to gather whole family member is the most "expensive" of all.

would love to do that but all my parents sibblings are spread throughtout the mts and not very healthy to drive these days
