Am I right or wrong to do this... need help asap

I don't think that I would personally be able to give my new dog the same name as my old dog had. But, I might use the old dog's name as my new dog's middle name.

I've had a lot of pets through my life and none of them have had the same name even if they did remind me of another that I'd had during my life.
