Hi,

No I, personally, do not feel reality televison have gone to far. I say this because I love watching them as I find out from watching them the flaws and how human the characters are. Some of the shows are really embarrassing and funny. As I watch them I realize that they are just like me and you-some are even worser and the only thing they got on their side is the fame and recognition. For example, you can't fake Honey Boo-Boo Child's  ;D-they are one of a kind and I love the show.

Yes, some are just getting to stupid. What I really liked was variety shows. Wish they would come back. Does anyone remember the Carol Burnette Show, or Smothers Brothers, or even Dean Martin variety shows.

I found "The Real World" was great tv and I always thought it was a great idea and they should do more reality tv.  After "Survivor" reality tv took off and it's just way too much.  Some reality tv is okay but I would much I would like sitcoms to come back.  Hope you all have a nice day!

I call them "unreal" reality shows.  There is nothing real about most of them.  They are mostly about narcissists (kardashians, etc.) who think they are the most beautiful, wonderful family in the world, women who are trying to live their lives in their children (Tias and Tiaras, Honey Boo Boo), or shows that use profanity just to be 'cute.'  There is no such thing as sexual innuendo anymore; there is out and out almost *bleep* in sit-coms.  Please don't repeat again and again that we can watch something else if we don't like them.  As someone said, the commercials on all network shows are getting so gross and profane, I gasp when I see some of them.  (I do use my Off button and don't watch them after I find out what they are about.)
It keeps getting worse and worse.  How far is it going to go?

I myself do not like many of the reality shows. Not enough character and to much drama or just omg are you kidding me stuff. My suggestion is complain to your cable or satellite company that why should you pay for a channel that is just all about reality shows. If you don't watch why should pay for it. Rhymes in with If you liked it should have a put a ring on it. Meaning If I like I am willing to pay for it. I surely call my company and let them know why am I paying for channels that I do not watch or even like. I think they may know me by Name now. I know there is other shows on them channels some may like, Hey can we have a filter. Till the day come when these companies actually care about what we think and put these shows on a channel that says Today's Reality shows, we have to just flip the remote.

The only reality shows I watch are "Clean House" and "Extreme Couponing."  There actually are benefits to these two programs:  The first motivates me to avoid clutter and organize and the latter provides information for saving money.

I have always hated reality show's esp big brother.  I think the whole idea was going to far to begin with.  Never thought they would last this long.  They are stupid.

I'd say that they surely have. The "reality" shows with their forced trama and drama teach the wrong idea about how to get by in this world. I also think there is no need to be so graphic with sex, death and blood. Hey, we get the idea and it makes it very difficult to watch TV in mixed company. I have been married for 35 years and some stuff is so gross that it is embarassing to watch with my husband. Who needs that in their head?
