Christmas Story
« on: December 16, 2012, 05:59:44 pm »
I am so sad with all the shootings, the children that were taken away from us, I am tired of the news that keeps reporting, I am tired as I think some 20 year old idiot will go out and do it again. I am going to watch The Christmas Story, happy and fun, to get my mind off this tragedy. I just wish the news could also report happy stories, and quit promoting those out there with unstable minds. Oh Well, Merry Christmas FusionCash members

I can relate with your feelings.  It's a senseless tragedy, not to mention feeling heartbroken for those families and friends for their losses.

We pulled several of our favorite movies so we can watch some over the next couple of weeks.  Christmas Story is one of my hubby's favorites.  We saw Miracle on 34th Street (the old one) the other night.  We enjoy Home Alone and Home Alone 2.  It's a Wonderful Life is another oldie I like.  There's several others, too, but those are a start!  Merry Christmas to you, too!  :)

I agree with you, I am tired of all the bad things that are happening to our young children.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I am tired of hearing it as well but I think we have got to change our ways seek God and repent or we will just be hearing more and more horror stories.

Time to turn off the news and start thinking of positive things in the world.  Make yourself happy and watch something that will make you laugh.  We do not forget things but we need not keep dwelling on it.  Those 26 people will never be forgotten, it is too hard to forget.

Now seeing the pictures of those young kids is even worse. On saturday went to the store and walgreens and noticed the kids around age 6-7 just looked at them they were so innocent and happy . The news coverage is to much but learning more about the mom who was shot she seemed like a good person, anyway hard to believe all this happened.

I could not agree more. For the sake of the surviving children as well as all school children we need to get back to a since of normalcy. Children need to feel happy and safe. This tragedy will and should not be forgotten but we need  to move forward and make some positive changes.

I agree with most of you. Positive movies, less video play station or whatever they call it violence etc. But, you can turn off the news, and stick your head in the sand, but your butt will be exposed. That is not the answer.  The answer is for all of us that have been sitting by, praying, to finally come out and tell Congress, and our local administrators, Mayors, Governors get there butts in action.  We the People, can and will fire them if we have to. Plus,..... Have them reduce their pay checks, have them get on the same medical programs they pass for us, have them get down and be real. Have them have the same safety nets like Social Security.  Have them when they pass a law MAKE IT APPLY TO THEM EQUALLY,   just saying.

u know people like him had to have something wrong with him otherwise he would have never thought to go to his mother's school and shoot people. he probably concealed his problems quiet well. it is a good thing he is gone.. he could have done more damage. :crybaby2:

I find the New Town shootings so terrible I have a hard time grasping in my mind the magnitude and the absolutely horrific nature of what happenned.  After a week of coverage, I am finding it difficult to continue watching the news coverage.  I agree, though, that we will never forget what happenned or the people of that town.  Hopefully, through public consideration of the entire matter, we will come to rational and realistic ways to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
