Buddylist
« on: November 12, 2012, 06:10:42 am »
Since I am new I am still learning what FC ahs to offer and how to use the systme. I just now clicked on a username from a post list and discovered that this brings up their profile. I also noticed that there is a Add to Buddylist button. What does this do and how do I get messages to this user if I want them on a buddylist. Thanks FC

You can use it to keep track of members whose posts you want to easily access, but I think that's about it. You can't use it to send personal messages or anything. I believe it's like that to protect member privacy which I definitely appreciate.

When I read your question, I remembered reading the answer in another thread on this forum.  So I went to find the thread and copied it for you below.  It's basically what skippymcnapper has already said.

It's a feature which makes more sense if you were allowed to share your email address publicly (you can't) and send personal messages to other members (you can't).  At this point the only use I can imagine is to simply keep tabs on some of your favorite posters.  You can click on their name in the buddy list to see their profile; from their profile you can view their latest posts.  I know it'd be nice to have more features on here, but we have to protect member privacy.

Yes I like the buddy list to read forum notes on the money makers here on Fusioncash. That way I can speed up my learning curve and collapse time frames for making money here. If I had more referrals I would put them on my buddy list to follow their activity.

Thank you for the info! I did not think of that, but it sounds like a good way to do your own survey on the offers. What a great way to say time and find more ways to participate in the offers. I guess I will put you on my buddylist, but I will have to jump around to remember how to do it. Thanks

I feel honored, since I am a true newbie and just learning the ropes myself. I no longer have an email reply to every string I post to on FusionCash, but I looked back on this one because my buddy list is life blood. On my buddy list I have one of the top money makers, but he didn't post very much. I have one of the most helpful and money oriented OldBuddy. A few others based on there writing skills like swogden. I have IceKittyNM and ruevouge for there help and online presence. Falcon9, he is cashes out every month, is the top poster to the forums averaging almost 14 post per day and has a large writing vocabulary. Of course Kohler, one of the voices of the FusionCash forum from the administration, most of his post are at lunch time. You are on my buddy list now too. And few more some random, but most with a specific purpose. Good Luck!
