Extremely popular in my area, a fun way to exercise.  It may be hard to follow at first but don't give up; no one really watches you or pays attention or even cares; the classes I have been too were totally nonjudgmental, just have fun and burn calories.  Aqua Zumba is terrific - love working out in the water.

I believe such things to be a way of stealing money from people.  If people are willing to work out then there is no need for such a class.  At the same time, if people have trouble doing it on their own and need a class to get them to work out consistantly, then I guess it might serve a purpose.

that's exactly my problem. i can't commit to a workout
in front of my couch! i'm not very self-motivated, lol.
i will say that the instructors teaching these classes
DO profit off their students, but i don't think it's in a
negative light at all -- it's helping people get healthy,
and the people teaching these things are usually very
passionate about what they do  :)
