I thought I was the only one that things like that happened to.  I have one worse than that.  Two weeks ago my parents called Home Depot to get a quote on getting a new roof.  They came out and quoted it and my parents had it done.  A few days after they finished, the county building inspector came by and said that the shingles that Home Depot contracted help used were not up to code for our area and that the whole roof will have to be redone.  Right now we are fighting over who is right and who is wrong.  Unbelievable!

People are just not smart anymore, they rampage through the stores plus the major problem is they let to many people in at one time.  I don't understand why they have a max number of people sign and then they don't comply by their own rules.  I stood in line at best buy for 1 hour just waiting to check out...The line wrapped around the stands all the way to the back of the store and it's not a small store, I feel it's a waist of my time now just to take back the item I bought even though it didn't have everything in the box..As for the home depot story that's really unfair to your parents and I hope they win the fight.

Home Depot should know the codes of the town and they should have to redo the job. As far as Black Friday is concerned, there isn't anything out there I want to buy that bad.

The whole thing doesn't make sense.  Today we were told by Home Depot that the inspector wrongly assumed that the shingles came from the local store and the reason he was objecting to them is that the local store does not carry shingles that are rated for our area.  The lady who is running the job for Home Depot says he is wrong that they don't get them from the store they come from a manufacturer and they are faxing the inspector the specs that show they are rated for high wind areas.  So I think the inspector jumped the gun, but it begs the question....

Why would Home Depot store sell shingles that are not approved for the area they are sold in?  The lady said she could not answer that question.  I guess they must be for dog houses only.  lol
