valuables

do you have very many valuables?
I was thinking how hard it is to go through airport security.
I was moving from one state to another.
I went through security [before TSA] and the security guard stopped me to check my luggage.
It was a sentimental rock that was "beeping".
I guess it was time to let go of that sentiment.

There are valuables that I presently have that I would not want to lose.

Meh, the TSA is a government agency.  Good luck getting any respect from them.  Any government or former government employee knows that it's near impossible to get fired once you start working for them.  I remember when my brother was in the Marines and he was in full dress uniform and the TSA guy still made him stop and do a bunch of stupid stuff including drink from a soda he was holding in his hand.

I had an issue with them when I was in the Army and a guy smarted off to me after they broke one of my external hard drives.  Then I started yelling at him in front of everyone, and he told me you better stop now because you're talking to a federal employee and it could be considered a crime.  At which point I pulled out my Military I.D. and said yeah..I'm a federal employee too, and I think my branch is a little bit more powerful than yours.     :-X

I'd just get use to it.  The TSA isn't going anywhere.....ever.  They won't be getting any better either.  Look at how unorganized USPS is now days.
