Did mississippi get hit real Bad? My sister lives there she was fine up to yesterday morning havent heard from her since then!

Mississippi and Slidell, LA got lots and lots of rain... my family is down there but I talked to my sister and she said everybody was fine.

Isolated areas in both louisianna and miss got a lot more water than they usually do but so far it has been mostly and innconvienance event as people deal with the cleanup after the hurricane.  As the days pass I am sure we will learn more but so far it has been mostly property damage.

I know it was bad in isolated areas, but not bad overall.  Hit up the weather channel online for details... hope all is well.

Thank you she finally called me they lost electric briefly a little flood damage but all is well!The Lord does Answer Prayers!

I hate how they make bigger deals out of things than they actually are. the entire gulf was in a state of emergency the day before the storm hit. It makes sense that New Orleans would have problems and need to take the threat seriously, as well as surrounding coastline, but I live in North Alabama and the entire state was under a state of emergency. Jumped the gun for sure. I cant tell if they do it for ratings, or because they havent taken serious threats seriously in the past so they overreact.

I hope this doesnt end up being  a season of bad hurricanes.
