Here in Illinois, my child's first day was last week. They have longer days, but for some reason are more excited than I am. This is a weird school year already.

I said the same thing that I could get so much done with the kids not home all day.  Boy was I wrong I haven't been able to do much because the baby keeps me going and way busy he is running all over the house getting into everything.. He is 18 months already boy how time flies when your having fun, as for my kids being back in school all but my first grader is enjoying themselves...

I don't have any kids, but I went back to college myself this past Monday.
I'm torn...part of me is glad to go back (I took a year off) and part of me is realizing that working and going to school full time is going to be a killer!

My kids went back to school three weeks ago which was somewhat sad for me but good for them because they were starting to get bored. Another week, or so, and their sports will kick into high gear which will keep them totally busy.  It will also be a reward for me as I love to watch them in competitive sports and it will keep them from hanging with some of their direlict friends.  School also allows me to work more and make more money.  Kind of an evil, perpetual circle!  I am going to be really bummed when they take off for college in a few years!

Not for me!!! I graduated summer quarter with my second degree, a BS this time. I couldn't be any happier! It's amazing how much work it is to be working full time and in school. Looking back, I seriously don't know how I did it. I feel bad for all the kids starting school next week ;) But not too bad, most of them probably don't have jobs, lol.

Not for me. I've been out of high school for seven years and never did go to college like I should have. And now that I WANT to go back, I can't, because I'm 26 and have to pay my bills, so I have to work. :-

My youngest daughter will star on Tuesday Sep. 4 and she is excited it but nervous at the same time.  This is her freshamn year in HS and even though she knows 99% of the kids is still scary to be moving to a different side of the schoo.  Their building houses MS and HS together, the back halls are for MS and the front ones for HS.  She made the Volleyball team at school and have had games even before shcool starts and she seems to be getting more and more rexcited by the day.

For my part I am ecstatic she will be in school and not bored at home, of course she had to read a summer project and do some spanish homework and waited till this week to start LOL procrastrinated all the way.

School starting up ts always a good thing. When I was a kid I loved school. I also love college, and when my kids were growing up I also couldn't wait. My youngest child is in high school and she started last week, she was also excited. YAH School!!! ;D
Never give up!!!

School starts here on Tuesday, September 4. We went shopping today to get the last minute supplies she still needed. She also got her glasses today. She is very excited to start school again. She will be in 8th grade.
