The Rise and Fall of Lance Armstrong

I guess Lance has become the "Pluto" of the cycling universe.  Some small group of scientists one day "decide" that Pluto is not a planet, but it will always be one in my eyes.  So, too, will Lance be one of the greatest cyclist ever - title or no title.

@mjdoug03 - Just because he stopped fighting the allegations, doesn't mean he's stopped proclaiming his innocence.  He's been fighting these allegations for 20+ years.  Consider how exhausting that must be.  What if someone accused you of doing something you know you didn't, and kept harping on it for 20+ years, and having it broadcast across the globe?  When would you decide it's not worth the effort to keep fighting the constant barrage of accusations?

I recalled the "scandal" that Paul Hamm - a US gymnast - underwent after he won the Olympic All-Around title.  He was in hearings for about a year defending his title.  Being treated as if he was "guilty" trying to prove his "innocence".  He's a local boy and gave some interviews, and he gave some descriptions as to how harsh the media was while he was going through that ordeal.  It was unreal.  And thinking - that was just one year...not 20.  Paul eventually won his fight and still holds the title.  Lance has never been given such relief throughout his career.
